Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of studies qualify for this visa?

This visa covers a wide range of studies, including university degrees (undergraduate or postgraduate), Spanish language courses (minimum 10 hours/week), and vocational or artistic training at institutions approved by the Colombian government.

How do I prove I have sufficient financial means?

You must demonstrate that you can support yourself during your stay. This is typically done by providing bank statements showing an average balance equivalent to at least ten (10) times the current legal monthly minimum wage in Colombia over the last six months. We will provide you with the exact, up-to-date amount during our consultation.

Can I work in Colombia with a Student Visa?

The Student Visa (V-Type) does not automatically grant the right to work. You are only permitted to work if your academic institution's curriculum includes a mandatory internship or practical component as part of your studies.

What is the difference between an 'Inadmissible' and 'Rejected' visa?

An **Inadmissible** visa means the authority requires more information or a document correction. It's not a final denial. Our service includes resubmitting the application to correct this at no extra charge for our legal fees. A **Rejected** visa is a final decision. In this case, our Money-Back Guarantee for our legal fees applies (unless the denial is due to reasons attributable to the client).
